AN ITALIAN STORY
In 1994 Mr. Giuseppe Platini, Morando’s Technical Manager, company leader in vertical lathes and deep holes drilling machines building, along with other technicians his colleagues, established the Coremu Service s.r.l.. In its first stage Coremu Service s.r.l. was committed
to high-medium dimensioned vertical and parallel lathes, boring and deep holes drilling machines’ overhauling and retrofitting.
In 1998, changing its trade name into SIRMU s.r.l., it started the newly designed vertical lathes’ designing and building.
In 2001, to meet the production requirements tied to the development of petrochemical and energetic companies, Sirmu developed an innovative range of multi-spindles deep holes drilling machines, suitable to solve the deep drilling problems on high-medium dimensioned mechanical components.

IMT INTERMATO AND SIRMU JOIN FORCES AS OF MARCH 3rd 2014.
The agreement of two historical companies in the field of machines-tools,
creates a significant presence in Italy on the vertical lathe market for fighting off international competition.
Since 1994, Sirmu has been designing and building CNC vertical lathes and CNC horizontal deep holes drilling machines. The founding founders, boasting a rich know-how developed in previous experiences, made the technologic excellence the main goal of our company located in Rivanazzano Terme, province of Pavia, that shortly established
itself on the global market as one of the most important machine tools builders thanks to a winning merger
of quality-technology-flexibility.
Sirmu-mt machines are mainly employed in all those fields that require advanced production technology, i.e. energetic, nuclear and railway field and, more in general, the whole precision mechanics compartment gaining a remarkable share on the international market.
